Number 23 in the Ian Skennerton Small Arms Identification Series (SAIS), this book falls outside of the normal remit of the other books in this series as this does not concentrate on one weapon but rather the whole family of Lee-Enfield rifles. Also the title is slightly misleading, although having read it cover to cover I am unsure what else it could accurately be titled! The 48 pages of this book cover a precis of the Lee-Enfield rifle family followed by detailed comparisons of the various component differences between models - it even has a model by model screw thread comparison chart! If you are even an occasional collector of Enfield bits & bobs, a gunsmith or just a delver into boxes of military junk at militaria shows, this SAIS has something for you. For the professional trying to sort out a pile of mixed Enfield componants it will be invaluable! 210 x 273mm with soft card covers, copiously illustrated with B&W photos and (more usefully) line drawings. ISBN 978-0-949749-87-1. Stock No 53/23.
