These are original 'lightened' sears for the Lee Enfield Rifle No5 Mk1 (Jungle Carbine).

In form these are the same as the No4 Rifle sear, and are interchangeable with No4 sears, but these were made specifically for the No5 Rifle. Every effort was made to reduced the weight of the No5 Rifle including hollowing out the bolt handle knob, milling away metal from the receiver, drilling out the butt stock bolt and milling out the inner face of the sear. Every gram of metal removed was a saving worth making.

These sears are in very good to new condition. The majority of them are finished in a chemically blackened finish, although some have a plain phosphated finish.

Please note; Although fitting these is a simple job it should be noted that changing the sear may change the charicteristics of the rifles trigger pull. When changing any part of the trigger mechanism of a 'live' rifle, safety and function checks MUST be completed BEFORE loading and firing for the first time.
