These are original 'Screws, Retaining Striker' for the SMLE, Rifle No1 Mk III & III*.

These fit into the rear face of the cocking piece and prevent the striker (firing pin) from turning once the striker has been adjusted for correct striker protrusion.

These screws are in new and unissued condition.
