These are original WW1 issue British 'Cleaning Rod, No2, for Pistols'.

The rods were designed for use with the .455" Webley MkVI Revolver, and other .455" Pistols with 6" barrels. Made from brass, the rods have a simple loop handle on one end and a slot for flannelette or brass wire on the other. The rods are undated, but the majority are marked with a 'crows foot', 'J&ER' and a Government inspection stamp (see pictures).

All the rods are in used condition with dings, scrapes and minor distortions as you would expect for a 100 year old cleaning rod! All however are servicable and could be used. The standard issue leather holster for the Webley Service Revolver usually has a leather strip sewn inside for the cleaning rod to slide into.

Unit of sale; 1 rod.
