These are original WW2 issue screwdrivers for Thompson SMG's.

Stamped out from hot rolled steel sheet and the screwdriver tips then ground to thickness, the one piece screwdrivers have a chemically blackened finish.

The country of origin is unknown, however their strong resemblance to the tools issued with the Soviet Moisin Nagant rifle and the fact that they come in typical Soviet brown greaseproof paper bundles, would suggest that they were produced in the Soviet Union, which received thousands of Thompsons under Lease-Lend arrangements during the Second World War.

The screwdrivers are in excellent, mostly unissued condition.

Unit of Sale; 1 Screwdriver.

Stock No; OTHERSMG35.

Please note; Although all from the same bundles not all of the screwdrivers have the notch on the side as illustrated. It is not known what the notch was for and it would seem to be randomly cut in some and not others.
