These are original Soviet/Warsaw Pact single compartment oil bottles.

Made from bright tin plate stampings these sturdy oil bottles are of a similar design to the two compartment bottles elsewhere in this section but only have one compartment for rifle oil. The compartment is closed by a screw cap. The side of the oil bottle has an impressed Arsenal mark. There is a flat base on each one so that they will stand upright on a flat surface.

The oil bottles have come straight from stores wrappers, having been slavered in hot grease before being wrapped in white greaseproof paper. The majority of them are new, however it would appear that some have been previously used and then reissued so some will have minor dings or patches of the bright plating with marks, it also appears that quality control with regard to the plating on new bottles was not always the greatest priority! However  all are sound and rust free and we will remove the vast majority of the treacle-like grease in which they were entombed!
