These are original, No.4 Backsight, Plunger & Spring sets. These are also correct for No5 Jungle Carbines, Nos 7, 8 & 9 .22" rifles and 7.62mmNATO L39A1 Target Rifles & L42A1 Sniper Rifles when fitted with standard 'service pattern' backsights.

The plunger and spring fits in a verticle hole in the rear right of the rifle body under the axis pin of the rear sight and holds the sight in either the up or down position by spring tension.

The plungers are in excellent near new or new condition and the springs are new from the packet. Plungers may vary in finish from the chromed finish illustrated in the photograph to an almost black matt finish. Likewise the springs may vary in finished colour.
